The main objectives of Nakaima for Dance & Health are to:

Develop and implement programs that promote health improvement through dance activity participation;

Design activities tailored for different age groups, abilities and disabilities, and test models for effectiveness with different patient populations;

Enhance capacity to deliver dance/physical activity programs within groups already providing services to the community;

Develop dance projects that build audiences and connections with groups/individuals, especially those who typically don’t engage with dance;

Produce creative work of artistic merit;
Bullet
Evaluate programs related to arts, dance, health and community initiatives;
Bullet
Collaborate on research projects on the impact of dance and the arts on health behavior and attitude, health improvement, cognitive ability, and community development.
